First Turbine Begins Generation at JSW Tuticorin site

26 December, Mumbai: Senvion India, a leading manufacturer of wind turbines, commissions the first wind turbine for JSW Energy at the 324 MW site in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The commissioning of the first wind turbine marks a significant milestone for Senvion India and JSW Energy, as it paves the way for the successful implementation of the entire project. With its impressive capacity and advanced technology, the 324 MW site in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, is expected to make a substantial contribution to India's renewable energy goals. The project consists of 120 Senvion 2.7 MW turbines installed at a hub height of 130 meters. These turbines are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring optimal performance and maximum energy generation. Once fully operational, the Tuticorin site will be capable of supplying clean and sustainable electricity to thousands of households in the region, further reducing India's dependence on fossil fuels. Additionally, another 40 Senvion 2.7M130 turbines, will be delivered to the JSW Energy Karnataka site.
